He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Spada and Edith Spada (Coy); his wife Helen Amick; and his sisters, Virginia Lee and Judith Martin.

He is survived by: his children, Sherri Finley (late Dennis), Mike Spada (Lorri), Linda Golab (Gerard), Robert Spada (Mary) and James Spada (Kimberley); his brother David Spada (Sharon); his grandchildren, Shawna Bakken (Mark), Sharla Fowler, Amanda Spada, Jason Spada, Lewis Golab, Tina Golab, Samuel Spada and Katherine Stephens (Jonah); and his great grandchildren, Savannah Bakken (Alex), Tanner Bakken (Derica), Dylan Dietzman and Colton Rosenow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
