She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Weeden and Mary Weeden (Vreeland); her husband Charles William Salem; her daughter Lorena Claire Hughes; and her siblings, Kenneth Weeden and Relda Preuss.
She is survived by: her family Celia; her children, Carol Salem Norman and Charlie Salem Sr.; her son-in-law James Hughes Sr.; and her grandchildren, Deborah Umlor (Richard), George Lowe (LeAnn), James Hughes Jr. (Kym), Taylor Norman, Charles Salem Jr. (Melanie), Josh Norman (Megan) and Lorena Norman. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
