He was predeceased by: his parents, Leah Rumsey and Verl Rumsey; his son Scott; his stepchildren, Jim (Krissa) of Ann Arbor, MI, Dusty Smith (Kevin) of Auburn Hills, MI, Melissa Nokielski (Dave) of Debary, Florida, Theresa Holly (Mike) of Lake Mary, Florida, Kevin Rustad (Tiffany), Corey Rustad (Candra) and Shelly Stevens (Rich Heath); his stepgrandchildren, Cayla Pitts (Tyler), Chris Graham (Taylor), Cole Graham (Tabitha), Ella Rumsey, Josie Rumsey, Kailey MacCallum, Lindsey Smith, Jonathan Smith, Nalavae Davis (Zack), Nayana Davis (Donnie), Ashlee Losik, Chance Hicks (Haylie), Blake Rustad, Kaden Stevens, Joren Stevens, Mike Heath, Paige Heath (Johnny Johnson) and Richie Heath; his great grandchildren, Benton, Blair Pitts, Kai Graham and Oaklee Graham; his former wife Kathy; and his siblings, Norman (Mike), Ida, Betty, Vernon, Sharon and Ronald.
He is survived by: his wife Connie of Bronson; and his brothers, Eddie and Pat. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dutcher Funeral Home - Bronson (321 E Chicago St, Bronson, MI 49028). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary of Assumption Church (602 W Chicago St, Bronson, MI 49028). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Bronson City Cemetery (590-700 E Grant St, Bronson, MI 49028).
