He is survived by: his wife Sheri; his stepson Joshua Batten (Shaun Schulz) of Cement City; his brother David DeMeritt (Ellie) of Bronson; his grandchildren, Devon Batten-Coville (Aly) of Schoolcraft and Lili Schulz of Cement City; his great grandchildren, Phoenix and Elias Lee; and his nephew Harry "B. J." Demeritt III.
