It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Lucille Vershum of Britton, Michigan, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Otto and Haddie P. Miller (Opel); her husband Lewis Arthur Vershum; her children, Michele Wonderly and Roger; and her brothers, Walter, Herman and Fred Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Vershum of Mound, MN, Philip Vershum (Kristen) of Adrian, MI and Rita Horton (Tom) of Clinton, MI; her sister Charlotte Vershum of Manchester, MI; her grandchildren, David Vershum (Callie) of Minnetrista, MN, Carol Shaffer (Bruce) of Minnetrista, MN, Laura Martin (Brandon) of Lake Zurich, IL, Matt Vershum (Samantha) of Shepherdsville, KY, Jessica Galusha (Nathan) of Lowell, MI, Benjamin Horton (Sara) of Chicago, IL, Kimberly Phillip (Josh) of Tipton, MI, Rachel Havens (Travis) of Dundee, MI and Ryan Wonderly (Alisa Maxwell) of Blissfield, MI; and her son-in-law Rick Wonderly of Britton, MI. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (9950 Ridge Hwy, Britton, MI 49229). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions in honor of Louise may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
