Leslie Downing Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clayton and Camilla Jane Wilson Downing; his siblings, Doris Bordine, Gwendolyn Tommelein, Gaynell Smith, Clayton Downing, Betty Uhl, Lewis Downing and Joan Wood; and his grandparents, Charles James, Martha Estelle Carman Downing, Alfred Merle Wilson and Mary Adelaide Miller Wilson.

He is survived by: his children, Linda Cowan of Englewood, Florida, Nancy Cecil (Edward) of Huntersville, NC, Dianne Schroeder (Howard) of Huntersville, NC, Robert Downing (Bonnie), Anita Lister (James), Crossville and Tenn; his grandchildren, Jason Cowan (Erica) of Portland, OR, Jeremy Cowan of Detroit, Kellie Campbell (Michael) of Davidson, NC, John, Jessica Brady (Richard) of Brooklyn, NY, Jamey Lister (Holly) of Flemington, NJ, Charley Downing (Karle) of Britton, Patrick Downing (Lisa) of Petersburg and Lezlee Downing of Britton; and his great grandchildren, Michaela, Kimber, Jacob, Christina Cowan of Portland, Ore., JT, Carson, Emma Schroeder of Mooresville, NC, Megan, Will Campbell of Davidson, NC, Kelsey, Chase Downing of Britton, Sonny Lilster and Anili Lister Brady.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Britton Congregational Church or Leslie Downing Fund at Gulf to Bay Mobile Home Park in care of Robert Downing, Britton Leslie lived life to the fullest and he will be missed.
