She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Smither and Mary Smither (Larkin); her in-laws, Arthur and Florence Kassel (Gutzke); her siblings, Robert Smither (Grace), Billy Smither, Donna Simon (Carl), Kate Perhai and Jeanne Starr; and her siblings-in-law, Ralph Matties, Raymond Kassel (Judy), Robert (Maryann), Donald (Gladys), Richard Kassel (Alexa), Dorothy Spivey (Ralph), Gert Edwards (Richard) and Marlene Kassel.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Thomas Kassel; her children, Kimberly Thompson and Daniel Kassel (Raven); her grandchildren, Tyler, Shaylee, Trae, Malloreigh and Santiago; her great grandchild Dahlia; and her siblings-in-law, Starr, Thomas Perhai and Joan Matties.
