He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Sr. Cook and Marion Cook (McCarry). He is survived by: his wife Heather Cook; his children, Kris (Debbie) of Detroit, Donita (Paul) of Detroit, Brian of Detroit, Brandy (Mark) of Pennsylvania, Brent (Brittany) of Jacksonville, Kaila (Brett) of Sault Ste, Tanner of Sault Ste, Riley (Kyle) of Sault Ste, Marie and Ontario; and his sisters, Cheryl Allard of Anchorage, Diana Steinert (Stanley) of South Dakota, Melody Rose (Dan) of Pickford and Kim Atkinson (Doug) of Sault Ste. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the VFW Post 9023 (8968 M-28, Brimley, MI 49715).
