He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Ray and Norma Jean Lawrence (Young); and his brother David Lawrence. He is survived by: his wife Janis Agnes Lawrence (Gray); his children, Steven D. Lawrence, Jr. of Pinckney, Valerie Lawrence of Hackehstown and Kristina Smith (Matt) of Livonia; his stepchildren, Gary Kerr (Alicia) of Livonia, Deborah Swarthout (Jeremy) of Southgate and Jacqueline Scherle (William) of Garden City; his grandchildren, Logan, Sierra, Neangelo, Adrianna, Grayson and Alexander; and his sisters, Diana Poppenger of Chelsea, Jackie Waldyke (Michael) of Dexter and Barbara Klumpp (David) of Pinckney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
