He was predeceased by: his parents, James Abbott and Norma Abbott (Garrison); his son Jason Abbott; his siblings, Rick Abbott and Jan Abbott; and his sister-in-law Elaine D'Aguanno.
He is survived by: his wife Laura; his daughter Andrea Abbott (Scott Hay); his siblings, Kathy Younger (Ron), Tom Wood (Jenny) and Jim Abbott (Mary Jo); his siblings-in-law, Andrea Kremko (Steve Blunk) and Michael Broda (Laura); and his friend Don Andreozzi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keehn-Griffin Funeral Home (706 W Main St, Brighton, MI 48116). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (711 Rickett Rd, Brighton, MI 48116). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
