She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert VanWert-DeRosia and Gwendolyn Rose VanWert-DeRosia; her stepfather Leon DeRosia; and her brother Gary VanWert. She is survived by: her husband Jeff Jackowski; her children, Aaron Jackowski (Kaitlyn) and Amy Scott (Joseph); and her sister-in-law Joyce VanWert.

Memorial contributions may be given to Gift of Life Michigan in her name.
