He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Adkins and Nevel Adkins (Roberts); his wife Sue Adkins (Bendis); and his siblings, Cletus, Larry, Jimmy, Charles, Sid, Glenda and Wayne.
He is survived by: his children, Julia Adkins (Tyric Thomas), Kendra, Jennifer Garcia (Rico) and Chrissy Walter (Brian); his siblings, Donnie (Ellen), Rubi (Blackie), Phyllis, Lynda, Linda (Ron), Nina (Calvin), Sam (Tom), Leon, Glenn, Doug and Dorothy; his siblings-in-law, Gerald Bendis (Elaine), Agnes Taylor (Ron) and JoAnne Petrowski (Bob); his grandchildren, Austin, Blaik, Landon and Ysabella; and his great grandchild Angus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
