We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2022, at the age of 88, Joyce Karleen Mellin of Brighton, Michigan, born in Darlington, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Joines and Mildred Joines (Patrick); her husband Grover Mellin Jr.; and her brothers, Harold Joines (Edith) and David Joines (Myrtle).
She is survived by: her sisters, Shirley Joines, Julia Brown (Billie) and Virginia "Jenny" Leonard (James); her niece Beverly Brown May; her children, Keith Mellin (Teresa Leverett) and Carol Mellin of Brighton; her grandchildren, Andria and Robert Mellin; her great grandchildren, Haylee Sawman and Jacob Mellin; her sister Shelva Calhoun (Ronald); and her sisters-in-law, Edith and Myrtle Joines. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Highland Baptist Church Youth Mission Program, or the Parkinson's Foundation.
