He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilfred "Bill" DeCarteret and Natalie DeCarteret; his wife Janice; his sons, Gary DeCarteret (Tammy), Steve DeCarteret (Ashley) and Dave DeCarteret (Gretchen); his grandchildren, Eric DeCarteret (Leah), Lauren DeCarteret, Kelsey DeCarteret and Dana DeCarteret; and his sister Sandra Sommerfield (late Bob). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
