He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jaakkola (Johnson); his children, Thomas Jaakkola (Melissa) and Kara Wieland; his grandchildren, Dylan Wieland, Camryn Wieland, Macy Wieland, Zachary Jaakkola, Wyatt Jaakkola and Owen Jaakkola; his siblings, Diane Makela (Paul) and Wayne Jaakkola (Jackie); and his siblings-in-law, Michael Johnson (Mary) and Lynn Mocan (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the American Legion Post #144 - L'Anse (115 Front Street, L'Anse, MI 49946).
