He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Wilson and Annie Ruth Sanders (Anderton); his brothers, Larry Wilson of Avery Sanders, B. H, Sanders Jr. and Jackie Sanders; and his grandparents, Callie and Walter Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Wilson; his sons, Richard Wilson, Andrew Wilson (Lauren) and Paul Wilson (Heather); his siblings, Cindy, Cathy, Bobby, Matt and Mark; and his grandchildren, Trevor Wilson, Troy Wilson, Addison Wilson, Layne Wilson, Henry Wilson and Matilda Wilson.
