He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Hamlett and Ellen Wilson Hamlett; his siblings, Frederick Hamlett and Elizabeth Hamlett Pine Denniston; and his daughter Lynne Hamlett.

He is survived by: his wife Diana DePratti Hamlett; and his children, Jacqueline Capp (Bill), Sharon Kuzma (Tim), Kevin Hamlett (Gayle) and Randy Hamlett (Sue). He is also survived by five children.
