He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Burkett and Mildred Burkett (Miller); his son Jeffery Burkett; and his siblings, Linda Schoonover and Robert Burkett.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jonatzke; his children, Joanna Janssen, Pamela Penley and Mark Burkett (Linda Lund); and his sisters, Mary Lou Smith and Norma Jean LoCicero. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
