He is survived by: his parents, Theodor Joachim and Lydia Joachim (Wappler); his wife Debra Novotny; his daughters, Taylor Joachim and Bailey Joachim; his sister Rena Scharnowske (Don); and his nieces, Rachel and Monica Scharnowske. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
