He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Jim and Jean Novotny. He is survived by: his parents, Theodor Joachim and Lydia Joachim (Wappler); his wife Debra Novotny; his daughters, Taylor Joachim and Bailey Joachim; his sister Rena Scharnowske (Don); and his nieces, Rachel and Monica Scharnowske. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pike Funeral and Cremation Services (9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, MI 49106). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel (9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, MI 49106).
