She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hilliard and Vina Hilliard (Keck); her spouse Armas Martin Sandell; her children, Rieta Sandell, Patricia "Pat" Archer and Elgy Tritten; and her sons-in-law, John N. Cottrell and John T. Asiala.
She is survived by: her children, Bryan Sandell of Brethren, Darryl Sandell (Dixie Howes) of Kaleva and Sandra Asiala of Kaleva; her grandchildren, Lori Gibbs (Scott), Phillip C. Archer, Becky Utech (Dave), Missy Binder (Ken), Paul Cottrell (LeAnn), Lynne Thomas (Michael), Aimee Sandell and Amber Sandell; her great grandchildren, Travis, Ashley, Brenden, Nathan, Mitchell, Amber, Cory, Jack and Johannah; her great great grandchildren, Oliver and Emma; and her son-in-law Phillip Archer of Brethren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a cousins.
