He is survived by: his former wife Marylyn Brain; his children, Steve Somsel (Becky) of Traverse City, Brenda Ballard of Benzonia, Janet LaLonde (Jeff) of Greenville and Eric Somsel of Brethren; his wife Rebecca Chapman; his stepsons, Paul and Daniel Chapman; his grandchildren, Aaron, Josh, Nathaniel, Drew, Eliza, Eric Jr., Richard and Luke; his siblings, Millie Bergman of Clawson, Rita Milosh of Onekama, Alta Fears of Traverse City, Wink Somsel of Onekama and Neil Somsel (Becky) of Manistee; and his sister-in-law Diane Somsel of Brethren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends.
