He was predeceased by: his parents, Arland John and Ruby Mae Carter (Posey); and his sister-in-law Carla (Laura). He is survived by: his siblings, Edward (Kathryn), Marcella, Westley (Mary), Kelly, Perry and Todd; his nieces, Ela and Jenna; and his close friend Mitch. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
