It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Joseph Dean of Breckenridge, Michigan, born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Dean and Rachael "Grace" Dean (O'Toole); his brother Bob Dean; his parents-in-law, Lyle and Elinor Myers; and his brother-in-law Tim Wertz.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Myers; his children, Jeff Dean, Kevin Dean (Derica) and Melissa Conn (Adam); his grandchildren, Aidan and Olivia; his stepgrandchildren, Paula (Kristoffer), Olivia (Callahan) and Enrique; his stepgreat-granddaughter Dorothea; his siblings, Ann Gensch (Chet), Ed Dean (Deb), June Pentrich (Mike), Mary DeRosia (Dan), Linda Anguiano (Bob), Bill Dean (Linda), Tom Dean (Patti), Colleen Wertz, Don Dean (Marie), Bernie Dean (Jill) and Debbie Willett (Russ); and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Dean, Connie Hunt (Ray) and Lori Taylor (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Patrick Ryan Catholic Church (4708 N Meridian Rd, Merrill, MI 48637). A Mass was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Breckenridge/Wheeler Rescue Squad.
