He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Detcher and Eleanor Detcher (Campbell); his wife Judi of East Jordan; and his sisters, Joanne Snyder and Kathy Detcher.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Wilson (Ken) of Walloon Lake, April Bellant (Kelly) of Boyne City, Andrea Horn (Christopher) of Boyne City, Geoffrey Detcher (Shelly) of Leo and Beau Detcher (Susie) of East Jordan; and his siblings, Richard Detcher (Carol) of Lake Alfred, Nancy Cain (Randy) of Charlevoix, Amy VanHoosier of Boyne City and David Detcher of Traverse City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
