He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Fanter and Genevieve Fanter; and his wife Cheryl Fanter (Stafford). He is survived by: his daughters, Andrea Fanter of Boyne City and Tracie Fanter of Sanford; his grandchildren, Samson Crawford, Justin Wood and Alivia Wood; and his pet Wally. He is also survived by his family and friends.
