He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Brummund and Nellie Brummund (Wenger); his sister Eileen; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Burr and Kelly Hillier; and his nephew Scott Nowland.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Stephen Burpo (Kimberlee), Audrey Grassman (Matthew), Virginia Juncker (Gerald), Scott Suryan (Shannon) and Matthew Suryan; his brothers, Charles Brummund (Linda) and Calvin Brummund (Sandy); his siblings-in-law, Sharon Smorch, Donna Burr and Richard Burr (Shirley); his grandchildren, Stephenie Ratliff (Brian), Sarah Burpo, Christopher Burpo, Joshua Grassman, Hannah Grassman and Emma Suryan; and his nieces and nephews, Tracy, Craig (Dana), Michael (Nancy), Patrick (Laurie), Becky (Mike), Shannon (Tom) and Shelly (Dan). He is also survived by three great grandchildren; and many others nieces nephews and close friends.
