He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Knudstrup and Margaret Calhoun Knudstrup; his sister Karen Knudstrup (Diana Haskell); his brother-in-law Edward A. Shirkey; his son-in-law Mark Gawronski; his pets, Katie, Holly, Cari and Lucy; and also, Don and Martha Henry Shirkey.
He is survived by: his wife Susan M. Shirkey Knudstrup; his daughter Kiersten M. Knudstrup Gawronski; his sister Kristine (Dale); his siblings-in-law, Robert H. and Linda Coleman Shirkey; his nephew Zachary Shirkey (Erin); his niece Kezia Shirkey Zakem (Jeffrey); his great-nephew Coleman; his great-niece Aaliah; his sister-in-law Karen Willis; his nephew John Willis (Miriam); and his great-nieces, Xochitl, Itzel Willis and Piper.
