He was predeceased by : his parents, Beatrice Rose and Otis Rose. He is survived by : his children, Susan, David, Gary Mortensen and Cheri Rose; his grandchildren, Stephanie Rainey (Jason), Ron Mortensen (Holly), Kyle Rose and Amanda Wyman (Pete); his great grandchildren, Bridgette, Brandon Rainey, Jaynee Poel (Kasey), Isaac Mortensen (Claudia), Gavin Mortensen, Greyson and Brooklyn Wyman; and his great great grandchildren, Mary Kaye Poel and Knox Mortensen. He is also survived by friends.

Memorial contributions can be given to Kindred Hospice, 1911 W. Centre Ave, Ste 1, Portage, MI 49024.
