LaRue); his grandson Adam Wayne Smith of Paw Paw; his son Daniel T. Smith; his sister-in-law Nancy Sather; and his brother Timothy L. Smith. He is also survived by numerous other friends and relatives.

“I am saddened by the news of "Uncle" Dave's passing. He was truly one of my favorite people I ever had the pleasure to know. I will always remember his easy smile and infectious laugh. He served his county and was a wonderful husband; a best friend to his wife, Becky. A good father -- always there for his boys, David Jr. and Daniel. He seemed grateful for the simply pleasures.
