He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Freegard and Grace Freegard; his sister Mary Halpin; and his nephew Michael Halpin. He is survived by: his significant other H. C. Scott; his brother-in-law Charles "Chuck" Halpin; and his nieces and nephews, Anne Campbell (late Michael), Christine Jamnik (John), Patricia Halpin (Shawn Carver), Thomas Halpin (Julie) and John Halpin (Lori).
