He was predeceased by: his parents, Michelangelo Gioia and Angeline Gioia; his niece Roseanne Skupny; and his sisters, Patricia Pianko and Bridget Impastato.

He is survived by: his son Vito (Heather); his daughter-in-law Heather; his daughter SharaAnn; his wife Sharon; and his grandchildren, Luca, Mia and Nola. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Vito's memory to the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Program in Ann Arbor or JARC in Bloomfield Hills.
