He was predeceased by: his wife Anita Baxter; his brother Theodore Baxter; and his siblings-in-law, Sylvia, Professor Melvin Tumin and Dr. Rosalyn Weintraub.
He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Alexander Baxter, Daniel Baxter (Bridget Brown) and David Baxter (Shannon); his grandchildren, Noah, Billie, Echo and Max Baxter; and his siblings-in-law, Carole Baxter and Dr. Gerald.
