Lodish; his stepgrandchildren, Jack McCarthy, Joe (Kate), Ryan (Lindsey), Brendan McCarthy, Alexis Mahoney (Bryan), Steven Morse (Leeora), Nathaniel Woodring (Kimberly), Sarah Bernard (Aaron), Jonathan Woodring (Brandi), Jacob Woodring (Veronica), Rebekah Woodring and Cameron Nash; and his siblings, Anne M. Lodish and Timothy S. Lodish.

He is survived by: his wife Judith A. McCarthy; his children, Deborah Allison (Daniel Oliver), Michael (Beth Rozier) and Kelly; his stepchildren, James McCarthy (Kathy), John McCarthy (Vicky), Diane Morse (Steve), Susan Woodring (Charlie), Kevin McCarthy (Deborah) and Kathleen McCarthy; his grandchildren, Michael Allison (Meghan), Emily Allison, Maxwell Allison, Maximus Lodish, Anthony Calcaterra, Henry Berghoff, Finn Berghoff and Kathryn Berghoff; his great grandchild Michael Edward Allison; his stepgranddaughter Samantha; his brother Thomas J Lodish (Deborah); and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Lodish, Geoff Lodish (Adrianna), Julie Dobos (Brandon), Fordney Volkmer (Annette) and Tracy Milks.

His family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Bonaventure Capuchin Monastery (https://www.thecapuchins.org) in Detroit or the J.P. McCarthy Foundation in Detroit.
