Michael Meltzer wrote a sympathy message

“I remember when I first met Laurice. She was a wonderful soul. I treasured our friendship and our time together. I'm so grateful for how close we were as friends during my time in law school. We fell out of contact so I just saw she passed away. We spent time together again in 2019 and we went to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. It warmed my heart seeing how she was filled with joy being there. Laurice had such a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. I love you and will miss you so much, Mike”

Albert Minero wrote a sympathy message

“Laurice you are one of the most intriguing human beings I ever meet. I have always been so attracted to your mind and your heart. You wouldn’t make it easy for someone to love you. But that was your way of making sure! You did things on your one terms at your own time and you would not be easily persuaded. Proudly you exclaimed your heritage. What I loved the most was the childlike capacity that was wholeheartedly you. I’m never gonna stop talking to you. Love Albert”
