He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alexander Murray and Margaret Catherine Murray (McLay); his wife Barbara Jean Bateman; his brother Charles Alexander Murray II; and his aunts, Ruth Belle Seago (McLay), Beatrice Lillian Crittenden (McLay), Joyce June Budnik (McLay) and Virginia Dorothea McLay.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Beth) and Sharron; his grandchildren, Elissa, Andrew (Jessica), Douglas, Meredith (Spencer) and Cameron; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Asher and Braxton; his cousin Margie; his nephew David; and his niece Margaret.
