He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Kruse; his parents, Anna Kruse and Francis Kruse; his family, Gerard and Francis; and his siblings, Margaret Byars and Joseph Kruse.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Dalton; and his family, Mary Dudley (Doug), Terence (Karen), Kathleen Stec (Gary), Joanne Heidenreich (Steve), John G. (Marie) and Patrick (Sara).
