He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara; his children, Matthew (Svetlana), Jennifer and Amanda Blanchard (John); his grandchildren, Kristen, Dmitry, Lauren, Josephine, Helen, Dominic and Henry; his sister Elaine Kurtz; and his parents, Ralph Berkemeier and Elfrieda Berkemeier. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
