He is survived by: his sister Margaret Koltz (Oliver); his wife Joanne Forbes (Payez); his children, Alyn Thomas (David) and James Forbes (Pamela); and his stepchildren, Jeffrey Vivian (Dawn), Catherine Mullins and Darryl Singleton (Chuck). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a niece and nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to their GoFundMe page, established to raise funds to develop and carry out essential repairs to Pennan Harbour to safeguard it for future generations to enjoy.

“Chuck was a great businessman and an even better human being. As a member of the Oakleaf Model Club, Chuck lead many trips into Detroit to visit the great structures in downtown many of which he renovated to their former beauty. He started the Churches of Detroit tours for the Model A group and they were very well organized and enjoyed by all who attended. We also enjoyed the lunch at the Elwood Bar and Grill with great food and Chuck even paid for our parking in his Gem parking structure.”
