She was loved and cherished by many people including: her granddaughters, Kathleen Hopkins (Franklin) and Anna Baker (Seth); her daughter-in-law Nancy Battle; her husband James F. Battle; her children, James T. Battle and Margaret Battle Kiernan; and her parents, Thomas Barnes and Margaret Barnes. She was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
