He was predeceased by: his parents, George DeForest and Eleanor DeForest (Esch); and his brother-in-law Marvin Helfrich. He is survived by: his wife Lori DeForest; his sisters, Susan Helfrich of Oregon and Sarah Gann (Roger) of Oregon, Illinois; and his brother-in-law David Cross (Janet) of Stanton.
