He is survived by: his wife Lori DeForest; his sisters, Susan Helfrich of Oregon and Sarah Gann (Roger) of Oregon, Illinois; and his brother-in-law David Cross (Janet) of Stanton.

Memorial contributions in Steve's memory can be made to the Humane Society.
