She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Sparks and Christine Sparks (Wagnitz); her husband James Welch; and her siblings, Joseph Jr., Dorellen, Grace Ann, Thomas, Carolyn, Mary, Robert and June.
She is survived by: her children, James Welch (Shirley) and Cathy Loranger; her grandchildren, John Harris (Donna), Derek Welch (Missy), Krystal Detweiler and Jeff Harris (Tamie); her brothers, Leonard Sparks (Doris), Richard Sparks and Harry Sparks (Margie); and her caregiver Jim Petty. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in Virginia's memory.
