She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Zarnick and Catherine Zarnick (Vasicek); her former husband Paul Check Jr.; her husband Gerald Garfield; and her siblings, Robert Zarnick (Wanda), Jenny Marien (Earl) and Betty McComb (Paul).

She is survived by: her children, Paul Check (Brenda) of Clio, David Check (Robin) of Lapeer, Daniel Check of Northville, Carol Check of Birch Run and Jennifer Durant of Goodrich; and her sister Marry Ann Stone (Bill). She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren; 5 Great-grandchildren.
