It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Smith of Birch Run, Michigan, born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Edward Smith; his former wife Julie Smith; and his siblings, Ed Smith, Dale Smith and Ona-Lee Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Dorthea Smith; his children, Paul Smith (Marge), John Smith (Linda), Dave Smith and Sandy Zissler (Rodger); and his brother Larry Smith (Karen). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
