He was predeceased by: his parents, George Merrihew and Effie Merrihew (Pennington); his wife Betty Bowen; and his siblings, Theron Merrihew, Audrey Stanley, Zelpha Small and Roland Merrihew.
He is survived by: his sons, Dale Merrihew (Patty) of Birch Run and Duane Merrihew of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Chad Merrihew (Amy), Lisa Kern and Scott Merrihew (Elizabeth); his sister Aletha Chaffee; and his close friends, Rick, Susie Moreno, Keith, Wava Vallier, John and Rhonda Laney. He is also survived by 10 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
