She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Howey and Lillian Howey (Parker); her husband Charles J. Petro; her son Robert Petro; and her siblings, Marcella Marth, Mary Bohn and Roy Howey.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Birnbaum (Fred) of Sarasota and Karen Matzke (Art) of Birch Run; her grandchildren, Leisa McKinnon (Bob) of Birch Run, Steven Dudek (Pam) of Pinconning, Brian Matzke (Nancy) of Birch Run and Michael Matzke of Walled Lake; her stepgrandchildren, Mark Birnbaum (Suzanne) of Bay City, Beth Blank (Dave) of Saginaw and Steven Birnbaum of Naples, Florida; her great grandchildren, Tyler Brooks (Katie) of Freeland, Robbie McKinnon of Birch Run, Amanda Dudek of Lapeer, Alex Dudek of Birch Run and Ally Dudek of Saginaw; her great great grandchildren, Lincoln, Lyla and Lewis; her sister Thelma Bierman of Saginaw; and her daughter-in-law Alexis Petro of Birch Run. She is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
