He was predeceased by: his parents, John William "J. W." and Lucy Laverne Young (Yates); and his brother Paul Gerald "Jerry" Young. He is survived by: his children, Annette Arkush (Barry) of Portage, Rodney Young of Miami Beach, FL and Peggy Bigelow of Clio; his grandchildren, Andrew Reese, Jaime Scott (Nick) and Brooklynn Lowell; his stepgrandson Nate Arkush; his great grandchild Warren Scott; and his pet Millie.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
