He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rubicz and Bronislawa "Bernice" Rubicz (Dudek); and his brother Edmund Rubicz. He is survived by: his wife Barb Rubicz; his children, Lynda Rubicz of Big Rapids, Donna Bauer (Roger) of Big Rapids and Mike Rubicz (Shery) of Big Rapids; his grandchildren, Jason Merrill (Tim Sanborn), Tim Merrill (Sally Bender), Sarah Merrill (Joey Hooper), Zack Bauer (Karla), Katie Bauer (Matt Badalucco), Alexandria, Jacob, Jorden and AnnEliza Rubicz; and his sister Alicia Kozlowski (Al) of Warren. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
