He was predeceased by: his parents, George Winegar and Bertha Winegar (Lee); and his daughter Jana Pollaski Newman. He is survived by: his wife Judy of Big Rapids; his daughters, Gail Sundquist (Ronald) of Reed City and Kim Marek (Rick) of Big Rapids; and his sister Barbara Rekney. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
