He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Maguire and Letta Maguire (Baker); his son James; and his brothers, Frank, Archie, Dan and Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Jr. Maguire (Diane), Timothy Maguire (Diane) and Cathy Sellas; his great grandchild Marilyn; and his nephew Bruce Maguire (Mary). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
