He is survived by: his son Mekail Root (Krystal Newhouse) of White Cloud; his granddaughter Karleigh Root of White Cloud; and his siblings, Doug Root (Mary) of Gun Lake, Robert Root of Morley and Kathy Root of Texas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
